Create photo art through PCC darkroom class

PORTLAND, Ore. – Learn to create stunning black-and-white photo prints yourself by mastering the magic of the darkroom. A non-credit class offered by Portland Community College can show you how. Dark Room Photography: Beginning features a complete course in shooting, developing and printing your own photos. Instructors Ellen Regal and Jim Irwin will explain techniques for enlarging and producing custom prints, capturing the subtle yet powerful nuances of black-and-white art. The result is beautiful prints you will want to frame. This class will be held in Room 112 of the Communication Technology Building at PCC’s Sylvania Campus, 12000 S.W. 49th St. Students have the option of signing up for two different class times as follows:? From 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesdays, June 29 through Aug. 10 (seven weeks). Cost is $110.? From 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays, July 10 through Aug. 28 (eight weeks). Cost is $124.
