Media Advisory: PCC Hosts Immigration and Naturalization Service

PORTLAND, Ore. – The Cascade Campus of Portland Community College will bring the Immigration and Naturalization Service to the campus for an informative day to help educate the community about the INS and also highlight diversity at the college. The INS will be available between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9 in the mall of the Student Center on the Cascade Campus, located at 705 N. Killingsworth St. The INS will discuss Internet information, naturalization guide, I-90 Resident Card Replacement, INS forms and help filling out forms. The INS will conduct a wide variety of events including administering mock naturalization tests, handing out guides to naturalization, giving presentations on adjustment of status, naturalization and citizenship. They will also present information on the history and mission of the INS, and on the functions of inspectors and adjudication officers. Also scheduled is a video on typical investigation operations, and the history of detention and removal.
