PCC's Job Fair 2001 to Give Job Seekers Opportunities

NORTHEAST PORTLAND – To get advice on your resume and network with some of Oregon’s largest employers, turn your attention to Portland Community College’s Job Fair 2001. This year’s fair is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., on Thursday, Sept. 13 in the auditorium of the Portland Metropolitan Workforce Training Center, 5600 N.E. 42nd Ave. It free and open to the public.The event attracted more than 300 people last year, featuring more than 20 companies. This year’s job fair will provide the public an opportunity to talk with employers and apply for positions with a variety of companies.PCC’s Job Fair 2001 will trumpet an employer line-up that includes Tri-Met, Columbia Sportswear, UPS, Wells Fargo, Express, New Seasons Market, City of Portland’s Fire Bureau, PCC, Legacy Health Systems, Clackamas County, American Red Cross, Nationwide Insurance and more. Special events and hands-on activities include computers made available for attendees, a PCC Career Center booth, resume and job interviewing workshops, assistance with job applications, hourly prize drawings and free parking.
