CASCADE CAMPUS – Portland Community College’s Cascade Campus is hosting a Community Forum from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11 in the Student Center Building dining room, located at 705 N. Killingsworth St. PCC welcomes neighbors, area businesses, local property owners, community-based organizations and others to attend the forum, which is the third such event since November of 2000.The forum is an opportunity for the community to help shape the Cascade Campus for improved educational opportunities. In its third attempt on the election ballot, district voters overwhelmingly approved PCC’s $144 million bond by an official "yes"vote count of 64 percent on Nov. 7. The Cascade Campus project will get about $57 million of the bond. The Cascade Campus increased in enrollment by 16.1 percent in total headcount and 13.2 percent in FTE, during fall term 2000.The Community Forum will inform guests on the Impact Mitigation Plan, the Cascade Campus project as a whole, and provide an opportunity for individuals to give comments and questions. Parking is available at the Renaissance Market, located at 909 N. Killingsworth St. All members of the community are welcome. If you are unable to attend, send comments in writing to Mildred Ollee, executive dean of the Cascade Campus, at P.O. Box 19000, Portland, OR, 97280-0990.
