It is spring and time for high school seniors to plan for their graduation. It’s also time to start looking for and choosing a college or university.

For many students, it can be confusing to figure out which college is right for them. Do they want to pursue a bachelor’s degree, earn a professional-technical training certificate or get an associate’s degree? Do they want to stay in town or go out of state? These students have plenty of issues to think about like affordability, accessibility and quality.

But their choice can be simple if they choose Portland Community College.

“PCC offers students flexible options to complete their degree and we’re an affordable way to complete the first two years of college,” said Craig Kolins, director of Enrollment Services at PCC. “Students at PCC receive quality instruction from faculty, who focus on students and their success.”

PCC is all about quality. Each year, 5,000 students finish their studies at PCC and move on to universities like Johns Hopkins, Harvard and MIT, or stay close to home by getting a degree at Portland State University, University of Portland or Lewis and Clark College, to name a few.

“The courses that you take at PCC can lead to completion of the Oregon Transfer Degree,” Kolins added. “It’s a seamless transfer to all public universities in Oregon and beyond.”

PCC’s graduates in the health programs regularly achieve some of the highest scores in the nation on certification exams. The college’s professional-technical programs are responsive to students and work closely with industry.

Plus, PCC has three comprehensive campuses on each side of town, making it easy to get to by car, TriMet or PCC Shuttle.

And, PCC is all about affordability. At $64 per credit hour, PCC remains a great deal compared to a four-year university. Plus, PCC, the largest institution of higher education in Oregon, offers a wide variety of courses and programs. The college has more than 60 two-year associate’s degrees, providing the skills that employers want.

From affordability to quality and accessibility, PCC is all about your future. To get started, visit, www.pcc.edu/admissions, or call any of the admissions offices at a Portland Community College location near you.
