TIGARD, Ore. – A non-credit class can help you plant a designer garden from scratch. Portland Community College will present Garden Artistry this summer, featuring instructor and master gardener Paul Taylor.Developed for gardeners with experience, this class features hands-on techniques for honing your green thumb. Taylor will offer special attention to creating vivid color combinations. Students will discover how to combine plants, foliage and structural elements to create beautifully landscaped, showpiece gardens."After taking this class, your neighbors will ask who you hired as your gardener,"says Tsipora Dimant, PCC Community Education manager. "And you’ll have the satisfaction of knowing the beautiful blossoms are the result of your own design and handiwork."The class will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesdays, July 1 through Aug. 5, at the Tigard Senior Center, 8815 S.W. O’Mara Street. Cost is $59.For more information, contact PCC Community Education at 503-538-9774.
