Poetry: Small Noticings
Poetry is found in the everyday moments of life. Move from those small noticings through several poetic forms using creative exercises. All levels welcome. We'll walk around campus, weather permitting; wear comfortable shoes.
Poetry is made up of 'small noticings' - the little images, feelings, and moments of life. This workshop will help you notice, and from there move from noticings to short form poems and then longer form and free-verse writing. You will have the opportunity to be outside observing the natural world, as well as inside writing. We will create mini poetry journals to keep our writing in, with room for future poetic musings.
